Airlines are taking it so hard right now due to the inflated prices of fuel, people not wanting to travel because the fake economy is sucking worldwide, and also because some of them are so deep in debt due to not seeing the returns on some of their investments in the fake economy. It seems they're trying to cram as many people as possible on a flight, which is why they can't tell you what these changes will be until the last minute.

It's not just changes to the flights that they can't tell you....it's changes to the prices also.
From Canada the taxes on a flight or package vacation to the Dominican Republic are up to approx. $368 now. THAT'S JUST THE TAXES (you still have to pay for the flight). AND......they can't (or won't) gaurantee that there won't be an additional fuel surcharge at the time of departure.

My step son flew out on the 24/04/09 was coming home on the 24/07/09 forgot the date been there 3 months A DUMINCAN booked with Thomson, they flew him with Virgin and A/Airlines Heathrow , to Miami then to Santo Domingo
is there anything he can do, or will he have to buy another ticket ?

That will depend on the type of ticket he bought!!
If it was a charter flight.....it's good-bye ticket and he'll have to buy another one.
If it was on a 'scheduled' flight with no cancellation privledges, he'll have to buy another ticket.
If it was on a 'scheduled' flight with a 'regular' ticket he'll most likely have to pay a surcharge (usually US$100.) to get another ticket UNLESS the ticket states he must notify the airline of the change in flight date BEFORE the flight........
I'd say he's going to have to buy another ticket.....
How does one "forget" when they are supposed to leave?????
